Help a high schooler with her research on lesbian friendships

Calling Adult Lesbians đź¤Ť Share Your Experience

Hi — my name is Rae’leigh Esparza. I’m a 12th-grade high school student conducting an academic research project on how adult lesbian friendships act as spaces of refuge, emotional healing, and resilience under heteronormative pressure.

I’m inviting lesbians 18 years or older to take a 5–10 minute anonymous survey sharing their experiences with friendship, community, and care. After the survey, there’s also an optional 15–20 minute interview if you want to speak more in depth.

Lesbian friendships are often understudied despite how deeply they sustain us. Your participation helps preserve lesbian experiences, increase representation in research, and support future LGBTQ+ wellbeing and advocacy.

Thank you for supporting queer youth research and lesbian visibility. — Rae’

Note: Participants must be 18+. The survey is anonymous and for academic use only.

(AP Research is a very rigorous year-long research course that senior high schoolers take, where they design and conduct their own original study. The prefix ‘AP’ just means it’s a college class for high schoolers. )
